........ I should have known better ....... Standard equipment for our boats vary from year to year and I should have measured my Lewmar opening forward portholes. Catalina Direct sells screens that are 4 1/4" x 10 1/2" but the Lewmars are 4 3/4" x 10 5/8". I ordered without checking, don't make that mistake!! Does anyone have a clew where I might find the correct ones? Also I have a pair of 4 1/4" x 10 1/2" screens for sale for $36.90 including shipping (inside the continental US). Thanks for any help, Dave

Dave, I am in need of a pair of screens but I will need to measure the portal before I can tell you if the one's you have will work for me. I won't get to the marina until this weekend. If you get an offer before I can respond take it. Thanks
Dave, Not a problem, I'll look for your reply this week-end. Still looking for help with the correct screens though, and a companionway screen would be great too, although those are much easier to make than the porthole screens. Dave R
Dave, Welcome to the forum, The screens should be the right ones. They barely fit between the outer trim ring and the rubber gasket. Our kids knock them inside the boat almost everytime they sit up on the deck. Good Luck,
Dave, I agree with Kip, the installation is not intuitive and they don't fit all that well, if they are almost like panty hose material they are the right ones. You can see them through the glass in this shot. I tossed the plastic trim rings and am taking the velcro off, I find the Aluminum much more modern looking than old yellowed plastic.
Dave Robbins, won't get a chance to check on the dimensions today. Got snowed in Traverse City yesterday and will be working my way back to SE Michigan today. If you get an offer before I get to my boat on Sunday let her go. 12 inches of snow and I noticed 3 to 4 ft white caps on the bay. Not very inviting.
OK Dave Otey, I think I'm going to take one more look at them anyway. Traverse City huh? My dad rented a 27 ft sloop there about 1965 and sailed us to Beaver Island for a week. Ah, memories! Anyway, you be careful in that God-awful weather Later! Dave
PS. I did finally notice the misspelling of clue :) oops, where's spell check when you need it!
I took the screens back down and they won't fit. They're not long or wide enough to engage the trim ring. So again, make sure you measure yours before you order them. I won't need these 4x10'ers so consult the swap meet portion of the forum for further details.
