I have snaps on and around the pop top on my 1980 C25. Did these come from the factory like this or was it aftermarket only?

If it was factory, any idea where to get a replacement canvas so you can keep the top open and the bugs out? I've sen some out there with screen windows. I am guessing they were done at a canvas shop.

Hi Johnny,
The pop-top as well as the pop-top enclosure curtain were optional in 1980. A dealer might order the boat from Catalina with a pop-top and then have a local canvas shop make the enclosure. Or, the dealer might order both from Catalina.

If you have a local boat top canvas outfit near you, they can probably make just about anything you want. BTW: the factory enclosure was a waterproof canvas with clear plastic windows.

Hi Johnny,
I have the original pop-top enclosure for my 89' SR/WK. A little tough to get snapped up but I love it. Here's a picture.
http://wave.mysite.com/images/100206c.jpg

No idea where you'd get one (factory) though.

A fellow at our club it wintering his boat with the top popped and the cover in place. At first it seemed dumb but I think it may be a great idea, his wood is covered and it is certainly as weatherproof as the main hatch area is without a cover!

Thanks for the info. I saw one on Ebay sell for $400 but that to me seems high based on the fabric being over 20 years old. I think a good canvas shop can probably make one for not a heck of a lot more with screens. Based on what I see the "factory" one did not have screens.

I'm on a floating dock this coming season and it looks like it would be worth every penny to give us more room and keep the pests out.

Thanks for the links and pics...
