Remember (think it was last Spring) there was a guy that had his Catalina suffer a travel lift accident and the deck up near the bow split open - Looked like Jaws ? He posted a photo and I recognised the surrounding area as the Washington Sailing Marina on the Potomac River (VA side).
Well...today (w/temps into low 60s and 50% chance of rain that did not happen) I went out sailing and then was working on my new switch panel project. His name is David - He recognised my boat name and came over to say Hello. Turns out he did reach an aggreement with the marina and they bought the boat from him. Then someone bought it from them for salvage (or close to that) and moved it further down the river to the Fort Washington Marina.
David bought a 2004 C-Dory 25 (motorboat). That's those motorboats with outboard and squarish looking cabin. He has it in my marina (on the DC side of the river). We talked for awhile but Iwas finishing up and he had some stuff to do and had to go. We will probably meet up again some time in future - I can give him a sail and I always liked the looks of his style motorboat...so I am looking forward to a tour. Just thought I would share the info for those that remember his tale of woe.
