I have an 1980's Honda BF75 (blue and white) long shaft model. I would like to use this engine on an inflatible tender, but to do so, need to shorten the shaft to the regular length.

If you have a similar short/reg shaft Honda BF-type engine, and would like to change it over to the long shaft version for use on your sailboat, please email me and perhaps we can do a parts swap. The swapable parts in question would include the exterior shaft housing/cover, the gear selector rod, and the drive shaft.

Hi Bob... Have you tried Trailersailor.com? They have more people who might be interested in a long shaft--most folks here are interested in extra-longs.
