I installed a new battery over the weekend: Electric start on outboard wouldn't work, hmmmm. Cabin and running lights worked just fine, hmmmm. Cigarette lighter wouldn't power cell phone, hmmmm. CD/am/fm wouldn't reset, hmmmm. VHF (which is hard wired to the battery) wouldn't come on, ahah! I put the battery in backwards! Except for the lights all of the hmmms required new fuses. Duh! <img src=icon_smile_blush.gif border=0 align=middle>
Wow, I feel much better! I did the same thing. The Portawattz 600 watt inverter wasn't as user friendly. I had to de-solder the fuses and replace them. I'm still not sure if it is going to work.
