Hi All, did you ever look at something on eBay and say to yourself, "I'd buy it for XXX" and make a real low ball bid knowing full well that you would be outbid......well that happened to me this morning and 30 minutes ago I became the new owner of the Catalina C27. My wife is going to blow a gasket. Cheers.
Hi Dave, Believe me, I thought long and hard about the starboard dinette, but I figured that, for the bid I put in, I was never going to win anyhow. I am not so much worried about the dinette as I am my wife...... An old lumberjack I worked with once told me "better to keep 'em pissed out, that way you don't have a problem with a split personality" The one bid I got so far for shipping is $1250.00 If I had a trailer to use I would go get it myself.
Hi Duane, I say it is better to ask forgiveness then permission. Cheers.
Duane... He's gonna be out there calling "Starboard!" when he's on port, jibing when he calls a tack,... By his own earlier admission, his brain is gonna be scrambled!

Thought that was "it is easier to beg for forgiveness than ask for permission."
Dennis, you are going to love the head room. You know how to deal with old boats so you will end up with a beautiful little yacht. As for wives, I am old school, she only gets to vote on houses and that is from the list I provide, other than that she is grateful for my wisdom and benevolence.
Dennis, Are you also going to be working on the wooden boat you were getting? The one your brother-in-law was going to work on the engines for you? If you are, all I can say is WOW.
djn is on his way to getting a C34 -- darn, Frank and Gerry just can't sem to get the dinette in djn's "correct" position. Why they keep moving it is beyond me...
I just can't wait for Dennis to tell us how much more room there is in a C25 than a C27 down below...

Hi esailor, no accident, just a thing with me. It just looks and feels TOTALLY wrong. But I guess I will have to live with it. I got the boat for 1,135.00 so I will learn to live with it. As for the 45' motorsailer, that is going in the back yard and when launched (2015) will be pristein.
