If you're a Columbia River sailor with a C25 or C250, come join several other skippers who are exchanging cruising notes and ideas this Sunday at 7PM at The Sextant pub on Marine Drive near the Portland airport. Skippers will be there from Portland and as far downstream as Kalama, so far...Also up for discussion is the idea of a local one design fleet, hopefully in time for a one-design regatta in August. So, if you're a racer, wanna-be, cruiser, or interested in crewing on somebody else's boat, come and join us this Sunday evening, 7/14. Although my family live in Oregon (Rockaway Beach and Salem) I live in New York. I am the C25/C250 contributing editor for the Mainsheet magazine and your get together would make a good sidebar for the mag. Would you let me know if any C25/C250 owners show up and what transpires. I am really trying to get "regional news" into the magazine. And if the group develops it could be mentioned in each (quarterly) issue with stories, activities and some photos. If you get some regular members you may want to start a local fleet recognized by the Natl. Assoc.
