While screwing my shims to the hull interior, I got about 4 wide and saw that I had screwed through my boat, yeagh, I have four holes above the waterline but when I heel I am sure they will be below, any suggestions on correct procedures to close these holes.
Go to Catalina Driect, they have two products under gelcoat repair. One is a hard epoxy they suggest to use when you are seating new screws in the deck. That is you drill a hole in the deck material and fill it with epoxy to prevent mositure from entering the deck material. You can't use just this because it is a stark white so leave a little dimple at the outside and use the regular gell coat repair for your year hull, for me it has been a perfect color match. follow directions for sanding and buffing out and your good as new.
