I got the following email from Standard Horizon about a paddle wheel for my SL45 knot meter. Do any of you know if I need the 4 paddle or 6 paddle version? My recollection is that it's a 6 paddler. The meter came standard in my '83 C-25.
Thank you for contacting Standard Horizon, we appreciate the opportunity to be of assistance to you.
A paddlewheel kit can be purchased from our parts department at (714) 827-7600 ext 6800 or through e-mail at yaesuparts@vxstdusa.com. You will need to know if you have a 4 paddle (SIA53) or a 6 paddle (SIA50).

as a piggy back to the post I wnted to mention that my knot meter stopped working just recently. I checked the wiring (seems fine) and poke my long handled brush uder the hull to clean off any biological attachments! However, it still just registers 0.0. Anyone have any ideas??
I had to dive with mask and snorkel Saturday. I pulled what looked like a little fiber and it spun the paddle wheel backwards about a dozen revolutions. That little fiber was at least foot long. Knotmeter works fine again.
