Ken Cave's boat looked just that way when he was trying to repair his swing keel's unexpected deployment.. He was successful, having employed professional glassers. Perhaps this fellow didn't go far enough, or ran out of money or patience, or both.

Val on Calista(the other solution for swing damage being the retrofit wing)# 3936, Patchogue, N.Y.
