I'm replacing one of my jib tracks. The original one is black--like anodized aluminum. The new one is shiny aluminum. Any ideas on how to make the shiny track black?
Thanks,

I can't think of anything you can do that will last... short of sending it of to be anodized or sending the shiny one back and purchasing another track.
Wow, what a project! Is it pre-bent? If I had the toe rail track like yours I would be very tempted to move up to the 1"1/4 track; there are so few hardware options for our 1" track, all the good stuff is 1"1/4. I can't because my track is countersunk in the deck.
I bought two new tracks from Schaefer and they are black. Call Schaefer and they can give you the correct part number and then you can purchase it from West Marine. I don't think you'll have any success having your new track anodized because it's already anodized silver.
