Hi Everyone,

I am looking to convert a steel cradle (for an early 80's Catalina 25 fixed keel sailboat) into a safe & road worthy trailer.

I figure that the cradle is in good condition - so why can't I hire a welder to add an axle (or two) and a tongue.

Anyone tried this? any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I don't think that could be done economically. YOu would need to add a lot of support to keep the frame from buckling. I want to build me a cradle to set on my 16 ft trailer and then tow it that way. If you can find a cheap trailer to set the cradle on, that would be the best way.

Can you possibly send me some pictures of your cradle with measurements?

my email is order stuff 3@ gmail.com remove the spaces.
