Well folks, this is the beginning of me selling my boat. I've sailed once in the last 18 months, and having started a new business six months ago, sailing for me in the next couple of years just isn't likely.
I'm selling my outboard separately because it is pretty much brand new (less than two hours of run time total, ever) and I can't get anywhere near what it's worth leaving it on the boat. I'll have the boat listed by Sunday (1985 SRSK) with my previous outboard on it, unless someone would like to buy a boat with their new outboard!
The outboard has the extra long shaft (25"), electric start w/ alternator. It was purchased in December of 2005 & stayed in the box until July of 2006. I installed it in advance of my only sailing trip in the last few years. During the three days that I used it, I was renting a slip and used the motor only to get in and out of the marina. That was it. After that trip, it has been tarped along with the rest of my boat on the side of my house. It really makes me sick to think about it too much, so I try not to.
I am located in Orangevale, CA (Sacramento suburb). I see that you can get a 2008 for about $2,000, so I'm thinking that $1,300 for a basically new 2006 is a good deal, but I'm open to offers. I can be reached at aceguy@acehardware.us or at 916.300.9426.
Exactly what I'm looking for! Except I'm in Atlanta and the gas for the trip to CA would probably wipe out any savings. I wonder what it would cost to ship it.
Well, last week I got a quote to ship 180 pounds of wheels to PA and it was going to be $150 on a pallet. I would guess that depending on the method it would cost somewhere between $100 & $200 to ship it. (would need to be insured more than the wheels, etc.) It's around 90 pounds with the xl shaft.

Sold to Mr. Tradewind Steve. Thanks Steve. It'll be shipping shortly. I would delete this post to get it out of the way, but I don't see an option to do so? Any help on that out there?
