I never installed this and now I'm selling my boat, so I thought I would give this forum first dibs on it before I go to ebay. It is still brand new in the box. The package contains: GPSMAP 192C with built-in BlueChart® cartography covering U.S. waters Power/data cable Bail mount Protective front cover Remote antenna with 30’ cable Owner’s manual Quick-reference card
I searched this item on google & ebay for prices. It appears to go for anywhere from $700-$880. I found one for $636 but the website was closed down (kinda funny).
I will let it go to someone on this forum for $500, AND I'll pay the UPS shipping and insurance (as long as its domestic ground to the 48 states).
That's a steal on a great unit for someone with $500 burning a hole in their pocket. I would prefer to be paid via paypal, but I could take a money order as well (or cash locally).
FWIW, the 192 was recently discontinued, and I believe the equivalent new model is the 545, which can be found on the web discounted to about $800. I like the 192's controls better--Garmin's newer models have way fewer buttons that, to me, make their control considerably less intuitive.
This is a good buy on a very nice unit. If I were looking for something in this class, I'd go for it.
