The Capri25 is definitely NOT "deluxe accomodations"! That said, I still think mine was the right decision. :) Enjoy!

dave,
the nice thing is that we can get 6 in the cockpit with room to move around, walk on the decks to the front of the boat, and lay about up front with a ton of room in front of the mast, the downside is that the boat has a low freeboard and sails like a dingy, oops advantage. The interior is for day sailing, and is tight, but it's a good time.

I admit... you do have a nicer layout up top, and you've gotta be faster (until the chop gets to about 3').

There's a Capri 25 for sale with no reserve on Ebay. Current price is $1125. The hull looks good. It could be a genuine bargain. It's located in Texas, and an out-of-town buyer would need a trailer. Check it out at the following hyperlink. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem& category=63730& viewitem=& item=180214133675& _trksid=p3907.m29

Those are some fancy high speed bulkheads. That seems to be a tad more than a fixer upper.

I'm not positive but I believe this boat is just down the dock from me. I seem to remember (it's been awhile since I saw my own boat) noticing a red Capri 25 with the same white bow protection material that is seen in one of the photos. There are two or three Capri 25's on my dock.

If anyone is interested let me know and I'll get some more pictures of this boat one day this week at lunch.

It does look from the photos that the water has come in thru the chainplates, the bulkheads will have to be replaced. I am sure the rear bulkheads are in the same condition looking at the one storage top. Water is leaking thru the windows by the look of the storage top. There seems to be teak missing at the starboard fprwsrd locker, and ports potie area. Port side locker top is gone do to water rotting out the screw holes, this happened to our boat. Hull number 20, this boat was in the shop at the same time as my 17, the boat is orange, not red. Our boat was the same color before I painted her. The spinnaker bag, and sail are the exact same as the one I have for our boat, red and that bright yellow, the sails are form catalina, it seems that the boat comes with a full set of sails, good for cruising. Well that's my 2 cents.

granted its problems I still think it is a good deal!!!! You dont buy the capri for cabin comfort. Mine has the liner cut and a bilge pump near the mast post. I took out the windows and bed with 5200. still leaks through the deck hardware... I would surely dry out the cabin whoever buys it. then I'd use dry rot and paint. If I didnt have my Capri 25 I would buy it for $1,500 any day
