Just thought you guys on the hard would enjoy knowing that we're going to dip into the mid to upper 20's here in sunny Daytona over night with a chance of flurries in the morning!

My boat's on the hard, but thanks to Justin (Justin4192) who left his C-25 in the water, I got to take advantage of a nice winter day on the Chesapeake. Thanks Justin!
Yeah! Well I'm freezing my grapes off here in Michigan right now. But I be in Florida in a couple of weeks. So, crank the heat back up down there if you please.
Went with my son yesterday to sweep snow off "Brandy" in upstate New York. Measured 42" of snow on the ground. Where snow had been swept off tarp I could stand along the side of the trailer and rub rail was even with my chest. 5 degrees here in Schenectady with 10kts of wind right now...I'll take the cold in Florida for a day or two. The TV weathermen say 50s next week, so probably another Nor'easter.
I went out Monday afternoon for about 5 hours and the temp was in the mid-70's with 8 - 10 knot winds. A perfect day for sailing!
Monday night it got down into the mid-40's. Last night it was in the upper 20's to low 30's. Tonight they say the upper 20's over most of the area. Keep in mind I get cold if it's under 80.
They're also saying that it will be in the lower-70's again by Saturday and mid-70's by Sunday. At least the cold stuff is during the week!
It was down in the teens last night and will be again tonight here in Nashville. Had flurries yesterday and this morning, but no accumulation. Supposed to get up to the 60's by the weekend.
This is the winter crunch period. The question is if the Potomac River will freeze over this year ? It did last year but did not the year before and that is about how it averages out - maybe 50% chance each year. If it does freeze over, it's between now and about mid-February. After that, then if it has not frozen, it is unlikely to do so.
Last night it was in the teens and about 32F predicted all day today. Then we go thru a sort of warm up to about 50F by the weekend. So, that about takes care of this first week in January. No sailing today for me, but maybe in a day or two.
