A slightly scaled-up Sunfish (my favorite sailboat). I sailed the Sunfish with 2 adults (maybe 290#) many times--not ideal, but I've gotten spray off the bow. On your lake with your KS wind, Frank, I think you might be happier on a Sunfish and its 75 sq. ft. rig. And buying and selling one should be a cakewalk. (My impression is IP doesn't make bargain boats, and SF probably outnumbers BF by about 175,000 to 12.)

My favorite too Dave. They are a blast to sail.

I guess, with advancing age and WEIGHT, I'll have to wait for the release of the "Fat Fish".

Good winds,

Paul

That is so last millennium, you mean Phat Fish. These are $4500, I wish they said IP on the sail.

Okay, you can spend this type funds or you can pickup a Force 5 between $800 to $1,000 used and in great shape. It will hold those of us who are not 140 lbs. Much more powerful too.
