Before I do the Ebay thing, possibly a fellow Catalina owner will have interest.

I have a mid 80's Johnson 9.9 HP 25" shaft outboard sitting in my garage that I would like to sell. I got the engine when I bought my boat a couple of years ago. The engine was fully gone over and serviced at a Johnson/Evinrude dealer, who told me it runs fine. The engine has electric start and generater/alternator. I did not have him check to see if the electric start worked but was told the gen/alt also worked well. As the gas tank had ancient fuel still in it, I bought a new tank and fuel line, which are included.

The engine is in Connecticut --just off I-95 nearer to NY than RI. I am open to reasonable offers, fully aware that this is an older engine. While many, like me, are moving to four stroke technology I have noted on this sight that some people still prefer the lighter 2 stroke engines and Johnson made an excellent engine.
