anybody out there know where I can find the Catalina 25 lettering that goes on the port and starboard sides of my boat, some of the letters are broken off of my port side and would like to replace them,

I think I saw them at Catalina Direct.

I've seen this type of lettering on some boats, but mine is actual extruded plastic lettering (it's in 3D). The plastic is about 1/4 - 1/2 inch thick, with a chrome finish.

My port side letters are fine. On the starboard side, however, my letters say:

. . . . . . . <i><font size="4"> atalina </font id="size4"></i>, not Catalina.

Anybody have any suggestions?

Guglielmo,

Although he might now be out of the business, I purchased a set of logos from an association member who had them made from a local sign maker. Although they aren't exact replicas of the original logo, they do have the same script and I feel they are better in that they have a lower profile and aren't as fragile. I put then on about 6 years ago and they still look like new.



There is a link on the links page on this website, but like I said, he may be out of the business. Maybe you can contact the place they were made. They may still have the templates.

Last year I purchsed the extruded plastic logo for my boat from Catalina Direct. It was an easy remove, clean surface and apply process and as dumb a thing as a logo is, the boat looks much better.

Steve Madsen had them made--cheaply... (You can search on "logo". Whatever became of Steve (OJ)?

Steve, I believe still has them and still stops in around here from time to time. (though not recently).

His info is on the association links page. By the way - the catalina direct set is not the original font. Steve received verbal permission from Catalina Yachts to duplicate the old version.
