CURRENT TEXAS REGISTRATION • Hull: Fiberglass • Engine: 1989 5HP Honda Four Stroke outboard (model BF5A) • Keel: Fixed (draws 4.5 feet) • Sails: Main with full battens, reef point, NEW MAINSAIL COVER. Roller furler with 150 Genoa.
This is one of the nicest Catalina 25's in it's year, and may be the nicest 25 footer on Lake Travis. This boat has been in freshwater it's entire life. Last bottom job was 4 years ago. The cabin has a pop-top, which makes it so you can be tall (6 foot plus) and still stand in the cabin. With a roomy V-Berth, 2 settees, and an aft-berth, you can easily sleep 6 people on this boat. The table is large enough for 4 people to eat a nice-sized dinner on. Comes with an alcohol stove for cooking. It also has a fresh water holding tank. There's a factory-installed head with holding tank and Y-valve.
Boat is ready to sail as is. Just get on and go.
Upgrades we've made to the boat: • New mainsail cover • New sail ties • New tiller cover • New running rigging • New lead acid battery • New cabin sole carpet • Overhauled engine completely, so it's 1 year used. Also comes with multiple shear pins in case you need one (and you never know when you might). • All brightwork has been professionally maintained while I've owned the boat, including the tiller. • Mast track has been Sail-Kote’d, for ease of mainsail use. • New electrical panel • New anchor and rode • New docklines • New fenders (THREE) with new hand pump for fenders. • Lifeline pads, for leaning against the lifeline while you are lounging around in the cockpit. • New lightbulbs throughout interior of boat. • New gear hammocks (TWO), one in V-berth for holding blankets, the other in main cabin area for holding maps and lots of other things. • Shore power cord (110V), includes the pigtail to plug into the boat and an extension cord to go to the dock.
Comes with: • Transom-installed swim ladder • Stanchions with lifelines. • Depth finder • Cockpit table • AM/FM/CD/MP3 player with speakers • Cockpit cushions • 2 anchors/chains/rodes (bow and spare) • Working windex on mast • Pushpit rail mounts for mounting BBQ pits • Dishes, silverware, cooking utensils (ready to cook on the boat – does not come with propane stove shown in pictures). • Fire extinguisher • Air horn (required) • Life vests • 2 Class 3 throwables (required) • Winches (all working) • 3 winch handles (1 solid, 2 floating red) • A bunch of noodles for floating in the lake • About a hundred new plastic cups from Rudy’s and McAllister’s Deli for mixing cocktails on the boat. • ALL MANUALS and documentation for this boat including: Catalina 25 owner's manual, outboard owner's manual, outboard shop manual, radio owner's manual, marine toilet manual, electric bilge pump manual, alcohol stove manual, Lewmar winch manual, original owner's purchase information (this boat was originally purchased from The Sailboat Shop in Austin), and maintenance papers.
In my experience... Most of my friends that sail are men, and their boats are disasters organizationally and otherwise. It's not that the boats look BAD, they just don't look near as taken care of as mine. Ask your wives...
Kim: We want a HUGE blow-up of the picture under sail--just so we can verify your claim... Which rig? (Looks like a standard, which means more room under the boom.) The '89 is the best of the C-25s--that's when they got them just right, just before they stopped making 'em. Good luck--she looks like a gem!
