just use some mineral spirits and then wipe off all the residue, and apply the pinstripe, it goes on pretty easy, just got to have a good eye to make a straight line, mine is just below the rub rail and it looks nice, its a series of black pinstripes getting progressively smaller in thickness about 5 lines
If its one of these stripes, these are called boot stripes and are painted on. a one quart can costs about $20. I used Brightsides by Interlux. I prefer it to vinyl or pinstriping because it can be repaired fairly easily if damaged. this is one of those things where you need to have your own stategy - if you are good with vinyl - it will give you good results as well.
yes I do have one at the wateline, but its just to even out where the black and the yellow come together, you dont notice it because its black and it laid it directly inbetween the two colors for a clean look
