I've got my boat nearly ready to sail with a spinnaker. I've got all the hardware I need except for twings. I'm wondering how and where to mount the cam cleats that pull the twings down to the deck. I'm thinking I might be able to mount them forward on the jib tracks. Does this make sense? How do you other spinnaker guys do this?
Thanks,

I mounted my twings for a 499 sq ft asymmetrical about 2" aft of the cabin bulkhead on the coaming where the forward bimini anchor is traditionally placed. Since I removed the bimini and all the associated hardware this works out great. My sense is that the twings need to be far enough aft so that you can work the clew on the horizonal plane thus moving the effort fore and aft. If they are too far forward they will choke the spinnaker defeating their purpose and you cannot control them from the cockpit with ease. Just some randon thoughts...
Also got everything for the spinnacker, but haven't used it yet. I can twing in thru block at widest part of beam and have the line run back to the cabin bulkhead cam cleat as suggested above.
