Randy, My plan is to mount the 2000GPH pump on a small platform that will sit on top of the aft-most keel bolt. I bought a couple of SS 5/8 - 11 nuts, and I plan to cut an aluminum frame from an old traffic sign my neighbor gave me. The frame will be bolted or screwed to the bottom of the pump housing (there are four mounting holes in it) and have two ears with holes in them that'll be bent over to engage the keel bolt. One nut on the bottom sets it's depth, the second nut on top of the ears locks it in place. I'll probably include a flange to mount the float switch on. Sorry I don't have a sketch of my plan yet.
How is everyone routing their wiring? It looks like you might be able to go forward to where the settee lockers meet the V-berth locker and get into the electrical conduit from there? I just stuck my head in the starboard locker the other day to look around, but I've got too much stuff in the V-berth right now to be able to open it.
For the time being I'm planning to simply mount the pump, attach the hose but leave it coiled inside the bilge, and make an electrical connection long enough to reach to the cigarette adapter that I have mounted close to the mast compression post. That way, should I manage to bang into something hard enough to hole the boat, I still have an electric pump on hand. Of course I'll need to yank up the carpeting, open the bilge access hatch and route both the hose & electrical, but it's better than what I have now, which is nothing.

I pulled the bottom shelf out of the compartment under the sink, that gave me access to the hull area under the sink. There is a drain hole that allows access to the bilge area. I ran the wire thru that hole and then ran it back thru the galley area to my switch and to the battery. I bypassed the main switch panel and wired it to the battery. I put a fuse at the wire where it connects to the battery. The pump 3 way switch also has a fuse.
Steve, I looked at the brackets for mounting the pump, they all require screws. The water ballast tank wall is the fwd face of the bilge and is a no screw area.
I'll take some pics of the installation as soon as it stops raining (ha!)
Thanks Tom! great read, guess it's time to get out the check book.... again.... And to all doing this, If your through hull is where mine is, You MUST have a Loop in the line above all possible water lines (Heeling), the manual pump provides this with it's location, but a second discharge line from an electric pump, lying on the bottom all the way back will not...

(I have WK and assume its ok to screw in my wall but I will still use epoxy). I was teasing re video. I was remembering the great video you did on life sling, but pics will be acceptable-haha-after rain lets up. Steve A
