Hello,

My boat had her name put on when she was bought in Marina del Rey. I am not sure who did the work but I like it. I want to find the font or a way to have the name and image done on a shirt or hat. Any ideas where I can do that?

This may be like looking for a needle in a haystack without some clue as to what company the graphics/font came from. The easiest is to get the info from the PO if you directly bought the boat from the PO. Still, perhaps you can chase that thread down from past owners to get the info.

Another possibility besides doing your own searching is to take a snapshot of the name and post on this Board. Maybe one of us will get psyched and try checking out their graphic producer for a similar/same font since there many companies that have on-line graphic engines and you can peruse their fonts on-line. One example is Boat US but there are many, many more that let you type in a name and then play with the different fonts on-line to see what works for you. You and perhhaps some of us can try searching for that font. Maybe it is a relatively common one...if you are lucky.

Another possibility if the above does not pan out is take the snapshot and see if a local shop can reproduce the font/graphic from the snapshot. In this case....you would want a snapshot directly perpendicular to the name/font. I believe local shops can put that into a program and perhaps duplicate at least the letters that you have but may be a stretch for addl letters...that they would need the font type and to checking of their fonts similar to the suggestion above.

By the way.....I guess you have photos of the font in your posting...but on my work PC, those photos are not shown. So...my comments were made without that benefit. I have to wait till i get home to see what you are dealing with.

Thanks for the reply. I am going to try to take the picture to a shop today and see what they can do. I can not get a hold of the PO but the dealer in MDR might know who they recommended the PO to. Thanks
