Sorry, life is going by at the speed of heat......

Has anyone been looking for me here?

I (finally) have a contract on my 42.......
Contemplating my next move......something seaworthy on wheels is all I know.

We've wondered... Everything OK at CO?

"Seaworthy on wheels..." Lotsa possibilities... How 'bout the Hunter Edge? Very quick! Should be some used ones on the market in a few months.

Yes, everything fine (for me) at the airport. A hundred and a half guys at the bottom may get to leave for a while again.

Me in a HUNTER? Nope. I'm in lust with a Corsair F27....... anyone know of a fixer upper?

The F-27 looks like an exciting trimaran that has the advantage of folding floats to give a beam of only 8'2". The larger models seem to have an adaptable pop-top/dodger/hatch combo. Nice wing-mast design. Trailerable, too.

Don't know of a fixer upper, though.

What's the head room - hard to judge in the photos on F-boat's website? Does the F-27 sleep 4 in the cabin & V-berth?

The videos do a good job of selling the excitement to sailing enthusiasts. 20 knots would be a blast.

A close relative of mine was told she was part time at COair (gate agent at a hub city) then at the last minute they told her the cutoff is one after her and she can stay full. She's been there for the better part of 10 years too so they dug deeper in some areas than others.

We have two of them that sail the MUG RACE every year. They are really nice and can fly when the wind pipes up.

You can stand under the pop top.....the rest is 4-5 feet. There is a small v-berth up front in the head, or a head in the forward cabin with small v-berth depending on your point of view. The main salon has 2 settees, and with a filler you can make a double and then figure out how to snuggle with your other half AND the centerboard box, which goes all the way to the roof. There is an aft cabin which will sleep one adult comfortably or two children that get along well. As the bilges are concave and not convex, to store the ama's in folded condition, there is not a lot of room under the furniture.

Nope, for 27 feet there is not a lot of volume. Also, the blistering performance goes downhill fast if you load her up. So, it's minimalist camping and wild sailing.

Ya, why not?

When osmepneo sells I'm looking for a Com-Pac Yacht Picnic Cat, a 14' gaff rigged cat boat. The name in mind is koinia, classical Greek for intimate fellowship. Works for me!

Hey, Oscar - saw your letter in Latitude 38.

Perhaps we could liven things up a bit with a thread on AIS? Seems that hasn't been really discussed here.

Looking forward to hearing 'bout your next boat!

Hey Oscar,

You ever heard of a guy named Tim Hahn that flies for CO? How about a guy named Schroeder (can't remember his first name). He used to be a pilot/simulator instructor out at IAH.

Greetings...

Haven't been around on a while. Busy busy.... The CO names ring, but I can't put faces with them. I'm sure I'd know them if I saw them.

Sure. We can talk AIS. Maybe a separate thread. Never did see my letter published. It was a good story.

And....drumroll.... I bought a boat. But that needs to be a separate thread.
