I wonder whats up. Notice the buy-it-now price of $5900.
buy it now price dropped to $4500 due to a couple of scratches on the Hull. Perhaps this is one of the drawbacks of a hull painted a color other than white. Call Q and tell him he can buy it back!
There will be one big hole when that wheel is removed. This guy should remove the wheel, patch the hole and try again. That wheel placement will scare off almost any potential buyer. Bad idea from day one.

Apart from being completely amused by comments from you wheel guys, I gotta say that Q did a very nice job of fixing up that boat, with the exception of the paint, and that wheel and rudder...so, what is the real reason this new owner wants to sell his boat, am I to believe that he bought a $6500 boat for his summer vacation but now he has to cut short the summer vacation which in turn means he's willing to walk away from $2000? Yikes! I've been monitoring the antics of human beings for a long time now, so I'd sure like to know the whole story. There's gotta be some real kookiness going on here.
Dave, I like your helm setup. There is a lot to be said for an enclosed area for the captain and crew. We always hold open the option of going to a trawler some day.
As for the price, the guy paid too much at $6500 for that boat with no trailer. The paint job, wheel, and outboard controls detract from the value. He is now paying for the mistake.
This thread reminds me of my old car show days, lol. It might make you toss your cookies looking at what someone else has done but they still put there heart and soul into building something special to them. Not that I would have done the wheel but I kinda like yellow. And doing the boat sure brought out alot of great information in the forum for people like me that don't know crap about our boats. As for reduced value, didn't he actually sell the boat for much more to this guy??? Just my two cents, and I'm still laughing.
Dave, your boat looks terrific. How about you take some photos of the waters around Mystic and put them up for us. That is one place I've never sailed.

There's a folding beer holder on each sidewall by the helm and first mate's seats (just out of that picture)!
Jim--thanks--I'll work on that. If you're ever in the area, I'll give you a quick (meaning high-speed) tour (except on our no-wake river)--there's lots to see--you'll wish I could get some sails up!

Phew!! I was worried for you, thanx for clearing that up. I know you're a detail guy Dr Dave, so I expect that those beer holders are gimbal mounted, And what about that wheel thingy, don't you have a tiller?
You only need gimbals if the beer can is full--that's easily avoided... I don't think Honda offers a tiller-handle version of the 225, and if they did, it might be hard to reach on an engine that's 30" aft of the transom.

I guess I could set a little stool on the platform...
