here in boston we are having a windy night. we are having the left overs of the hurricane down south. nothing too bad but the captain thought he should go into the marina and check our lines and bumpers. good thing he did. our boat was fine, but the entire dock with all 24 boats on it was detached from the main pier and slowly floating away!. the ramp was sideways. now mind you, this is a marina with 24 hour security! no one noticed it... he notified the security guard and helped him pull it back towards the pier and waited for someone to get there to rectify the situation. i can just imagine what would have happened if he didnt go to check!!! unbelievable!
