While cruising Sunday, in a nice 10-14 knot wind, looking for deer on the island, a neighbor boater snuck up and took this picture and e-mailed it to me this morning.
Isn't it nice to have a photo of your boat under sail? A few years ago I headed out with friends on a 12 knot day specifically to shoot each others boats. They have an amazing Niagra 35.
When Ron said he was shooting I cranked the helm to make it look like more wind. Yep! I cheated! Find a friend, get a good day and shoot away. The one thing that is hard to get is pics of you undersail. I have enjoyed those photos for many years.
It is difficult to get good "under motion" pics. I was just out Ponce Inlet, FL last year when I noticed a guy on a jet ski taking pictures of me. I asked if he'd mail me some, he punched in my email address on his phone and a few days later he sent me the photo you see in my signature as well as this one. Love it!!
