This mourning my wife, son, and I droped the mast and prepared Wind Lass for shipment to Idaho. It was a grand farewell as we motored out of the Foss Waterway in Tacoma. I had forgoten this weekend was the maritime festival. We passed many of our old friends as we motored out for the last time. Dragon boats raced and Tug boats too. Crowds of people touring boats and going out for chartered sails. It was grand As I pretended it was all for me. We motored across the bay to the Hylebos waterway and up to the Hylebos marina. We were spot on time for our three oclock haul. It was interesting to see the hull again since I had only finished the epoxy bottom last March. I used a cheap (45$) a gallon anti foul bottom pain and had added cayenne pepper to the mix. WOW does that stuff work. We had a light slime and that was it. No other animals anywhere to be seen. Well the transport company loaded her on the truck and she is gone. Best of luck to the new owner and hope to see him here next spring.
To the crew of Wind Lass: a door opens, a door closes. PLEASE do not leave your shipmates on the website. I am brand new but already look forward to your comments and have profited from many past posts. Godspeed, Ron Orion 1981 SK SR Venice, Fl
