boy is the forum slow with input.

i was wandering if everybody is out turkey hunting for thanksgiving??

i'm traveling to chapel hill n.c. today and even the monday airline rush is slow.

i shot my turkey early this fall. i got one for smoking and one for baking.
shot them at the local grocery store.
the larger one is for thanksgiving.

see how slow this is. you've listened to me ramble about travel and shooting my turkey.

well i guess if i ever did really hunt turkey i would hope i wouldn't shoot my turkey or in my foot.

little humor there.

come on guys let's here some real problems or remedies.

Dave,

They say that every Turkey has it's Thanksgiving. Not sure if that is such a good thing for the Turkey.

My projects that I want to get to this winter on my boat are somewhat scaled down from previous years. I already made the big investments and improvements that I felt most important for me - Rewiring, new circuit breaker switch panel, new LED Anchor light, bunk extension, solar panel, new outboard, new sails, etc.

This winter, I need to take the new sails down and get them inspected for a 2nd year warranty from Quantum; probably will replace the halyards; hope to work on a new table to replace the original and would like to spend a little of my PC sailing time working toward putting together an article suitable for the Technical Tips Section or the Mainsheet Magazine. I am working on preparing my bunk extension project for such a submittal. I am replacing the design sketches on my website with Turbocad designed drawings and beginning the paragraph write-ups which I did not have on my website. Then I will edit it a bit and get it down to what I could perhaps forward for submittal. So...we shall see how that works out.

But right now I am in Florida on a mini-trip visiting my Mom in Boynton Beach area and will be returning home tomorrow. I will be back in Florida in the Bradenton area in January around Inaugeration Day/weekend. Then when I get back home, I have been and will continue to be somewhat side-tracked on another project - Completing a stone paver patio in my backyard.

And don't forget the rutabagas, brussel sprouts, mashed potatoes and the trifle for dessert!

Your bunk extension is a worthy submission I think Larry, good luck with it. Yes the forum is a bit slow. Personally I bought a house and have been pretty busy with it since August. I hope to get out for a sail this Saturday, it'll be the first in a month.

Sarge gets lifted out tomorrow... One less wake to annoy the very few sailors left out there.

My "very good friend" has wild turkeys running all over her neighborhood--could be like shooting fish in a barrel (if shooting there were legal). Anyway, considering what you get to do after you shoot one, the supermarket is easier.

Please! Some of us have not gotten over the grieving period after putting our boats away for the long winter. Be gentle.
