We are replacing the Traveler on our 1987 TR/SK and have purchased new cleats From Catalina Yachts, Has anyone removed the travelor camcleats from the stern and if so how did you access the screws?/ Bolts? Much Thanks

On my 77, the traveller cam cleats are bolted to a piece of brass that is embedded in the fiberglass. There were no nuts to remove. I just unscrewed it. Try and pull one screw out on the port side and see.
It's easier to reach under the coaming on the port side to tighten it back up if it ends up having a nut.

If you plan to bolt on there, here's a tip: It is pretty hard to get a nut up to the bolt in that narrow space. But, your finger can probably reach to the bolt. What I did was put a little dab of caulking on my finger and stick the nut on the tip. That way I was able to start threadding.

Yeah, they may have quit imbedding a plate into the fiberglass by 1987.
