I am near to dropping the boat in the dump. Anyone want the boat? I will sell all that is left for $500. Bring your trailer or i can trailer it to any nearby water. interior is complete first one with the money has a cheap prize. the only parts off the hull are the stern pulpit, windows and pop top. no sails. no furler
I have lots of parts but not enough interest. I have had the boat advertised here for a while and have had a few parts sold piecemeal. I am tired of the boat being around. I just want out from under it. That is the reason for the low price. Want a boat?????????

Dan,
I think over the past few months there have been a lot of questions asked and some confusion as to what was actually sold and what is left.
Could you write up <u><b>one</b></u> list of everything still on the boat and post it here. <font color="blue">Pictures of everything would be even better!</font id="blue">
And....... List the prices at the same time. Heck, pull all the hardware and trim off it, ditch the boat and then sell off the pieces. Don't take orders, just list what you have. I'm only trying to help.
Dan, I've sent you an email regarding the winches. I agree with the guys, if you want to spend the time removing hardware, you could probably sell all or most of it here in a very short amount of time.
Question to all: I was asking only 1/2 of the CD prices on the used parts. I had bought a couple of items like the spreader upgrade kit and a chainplate upgrade kit that were new and never installed. On those items I was asking a little less than what I paid for and just trying to minimize my loss on those. Were these unreasonable expectations?
I will post what is left and I will get picts when available.
Your pricing sounds reasonable to me. Unfortunately (or perhaps I should say fortunately), I can't think of any parts that I really need right now, and being "temporarily retired" I'm in a spending lock-down.
I feel it would be real helpful if you were to list each part one by one, and put your best price with it.
The reason I mention this, I've been trying to get a handful of items either from this site or ebay or wherever. I have yet to sucessfully purchase anything from this site for various different reasons. It seems that too much back and forth will hamper the process, and you get left with the parts. So, anything you can do to help make sales easy for both ends would be great!
Thank you for the input. I have a mostly complete boat so i will post a few things that I can think of and place a few prices with these items. Mast/shrouds (complete) $400 Boom (set up for jiffy reefing) $200 Motor Bracket $100 Cushions (foam is good, will need recovering to make nice) $100 Winches Lewmar (set of 2) $500 Single Lewmar from mast $100 Spreader Bracket upgrade kit NEW $100 Chainplate upgrade kit NEW $75 Fixed Rudder $300
These are just a few of the items I could think of at the top of my head. If I made a mistake in the pricing I would be happy to see if the list agrees or disagrees and I will make the change accordingly. I have other parts so feel free to ask.

I think you are a good bit overpriced on all but the mast and shrouds. You listed $1800 plus for what you wanted $500 for. These are mostly 30 year old parts that can be found on ebay quite a bit cheaper.
Thank you for the input. I have a mostly complete boat so i will post a few things that I can think of and place a few prices with these items. I have readjusted the prices based loosely on CD. I dont think half of new is unreasonable for a good used part. I am selling the boat as a whole for a cheap price purely out of a convenience factor. I am also being charged storage and I am tired of that as well.
Mast/shrouds (complete) $400 Boom (set up for jiffy reefing) $125 Motor Bracket $80 Cushions (foam is good, will need recovering to make nice) $90 Winches Lewmar (set of 2) $175 Single Lewmar from mast $80 Spreader Bracket upgrade kit NEW $110 (CD is $140) Chainplate upgrade kit NEW $100 (CD $125) Fixed Rudder $200 (CD was $650) Anchor Locker Hatch $100 (CD is $219) Forward Hatch $125 (CD $322) Cockpit Hatch $60 each Teak 5 loop rails $45 for set of 2 (CD $90 for the pair)
These are just a few of the items I could think of at the top of my head. If I made a mistake in the pricing I would be happy to see if the list agrees or disagrees and I will make the change accordingly. I have other parts so feel free to ask.

just throwing my opinion out there. if you would truely like to sell these 30yr. old parts stop trying to get all you can for them. make them a steal, and they will disapear quickly. i tried to get some stanchions from you and you wanted 60% of CD price (which are thicker stainless), not much of a deal so i purchased new ones. if i were you i would sell them for roughly 25% or less of CD prices. they will go fast, you will make a little coin, and the problem is solved. If you want to try and squeeze top dollar out of these parts you have to be willing to hold on to them for a long while. just my thoughts, good luck.
The one I was selling you was one that I had just bought brand new from CD. I thought 60% original price was fair for a brand new one. I thought it was a dam good deal. Man it seems like you can never make anyone happy. I dont think it is unreasonable to sell used parts for 1/2 off of new. I have bought several items here for roughly half of new and was grateful I was able to afford parts on a budget. If you guys dont think half of new is fair then go buy brand new from CD. Like I have said many times to several members here, make me a reasonable offer. I get offers that are ridiculous like a mast offer for $75 or an offer to buy a set of stanchions for $35. So surely you can understand my frustration. Of course, parts like blown out sail or severely worn or worthless junk parts are a different story.
Bottom line: make me a reasonable offer for a part and it is yours!
Dan, If you take Paypal and you'll take $100 for the Chainplate and spreader kit, mark them sold. I realize they are a good bit more at CD but you bought them awhile back when they less expensive, you can't offer a guarantee and if you don't have a C25, they are useless hardware. If nothing else, perhaps I'll start a bidding war. We could call it eSwap.
I want the three winches and mast deck plate.<blockquote id="quote"><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id="quote">quote:<hr height="1" noshade id="quote"><i>Originally posted by txbigfoot</i> <br />Thank you for the input.
