My friend wants to install a jib pre-feeder on his boat (a nice old Pearson Triton that he races), to make it easier to raise his jib at the end of a spinnaker run. Does anyone here have any recommendations on pre-feeders that work well? Likewise, is there any brand that you don't like, and that he should avoid?

I installed a Harken Twin Groove Carbo Foil kit about 10 months ago. So far the pre-feeder that came with that kit has worked flawlessly with mylar sails. I followed the manufacturer's installation instructions explicitly.
I installed a HARKEN 00AL Furling system on my CAPRI 25. Like the system. The plastic prefeeder is BOGUS though! Switched to a HARKEN #7006 Carbo racing foil prefeeder affixed to the extrusion with parachute cord and white elect. tape, (looks good) head sails go up like a hot knife through butter.
