Just shoot me an email and we can set up a time to talk. I have tons of advice on various companies, itineraries, restaurants and everything in between.

Edit: Hope you stocked up on those 'Sail Repair Kit' options!
So I changed course about an hour ago to head directly in the "right direction" on my heavy spinnaker. Currently making nearly 30kts. Just checked again: "Places lost: 72444", so I'm in the back of the pack again. I have no idea how this works any more.

There was one point fairly early on in this leg where I was listed as about 150nm behind another boat, but they were less than 1 quadrant (net) away on the chart (~60nm). I neglected to run a lat/long distance on it, so can't give "actual" distance. Sometime the next day they were farther ahead on the "rhumb line", but the ranking sheet said they were about 30nm ahead. Whatever.
Find you, find the mark, find the competition. Go from there...
Just gained it all back, plus a bit, so now I'm roughly where I was (standing wise) as about two hours ago. Yay.
At least I'm doing >30kts in the right-ish direction, and I haven't blown out any sails (Rita's blown out both her spinnakers this leg, and she's still thousands of miles ahead of me).
Hypothetically, If one were to blow their light spin, and <s>I were</s> he was to cheap to buy a repair kit, <s>could I</s> would he get a new sail at the start of the next leg?

I hadn't checked on my boat in about a week, so I log on today, and WOW! Paul thought I might be getting cold, because Im 100 mi offshore of Antarctica and in 147000th place.
I think this leg is too long. People (like me) have short attention spans. Five weeks is a long time. I know that the game is based on the real race, but I also lost interest in the race. Which is a shame because its a an awesome race. I will try to refocus my attention for the next leg.
On a side note, five weeks <u>is</u> a long time and with the five weeks this country has had I'm sure there are people who would rather be in a boat offshore in the Chinese sea Even if no ones watching.
