I am going to be in the Seattle area April 30th thru May 4th and would love to go sailing with you, weather permitting. I am doing this in advance and will be available Friday, Saturday or Sunday. I will be visiting my brother and would love to take him out as well. We can bring food, wine/beer or whatever as an enticement. Look at this a a great opportunity to meet one of your members and if you ever come to California, same offer stands. Steve A PS References Provided Upon Request

David, you are very gracious, thank you. I found Duvall on the map-barely! It is east of where I will be. Where do you sail, Lake Washington? Good luck on the tiller. Keep my fingers crossed. Lets stay in touch. Steve PS that's one day and I will be there 3 days. Please keep those offers coming.
David, Found you. Nice. I have never sailed in a river or lake for that matter. Looks like you sail under bridge into Elliot Bay. Is it close to Bill Gates place? haha -Cant wait. Steve A
Steve, May 2 is opening day of boating in Seattle. It will be a busy boating weekend. My boat is in Olympia about 60 miles south of Seattle. My plans are to be in Seattle for the May 2 festivities (the weekend). I don't have a definite plan yet and I have to check with the family and see who is coming with me that weekend. We may be able to hook up at some point and do a little sailing. Give me a couple weeks to work out where I'll be and if it works for you and your schedule. We can go for a sail.
Well, we're only on the river for about 20 minutes on the way in/out of Puget Sound. Bill Gate's place is in Medina, on the east shore of Lake Washington, just south of 520, about 3 hours or so away through Shilshole, Ballard locks, Lake Union, the Mountlake Cut & Lake Washington.
We sail under three bridges to get out, two of which are high enough to not worry about, ever. The third is a railroad bascule bridge that spends 99% of it's time up, but if it's down, it only has about 10' of clearance, so there's no going under it.
