After completely replacing every part of the 1989 Honda 10HP on the back of my 1982 Cat25, I got tired of it not working and traded it for a 1999 15 HP Honda.
I put it in my trunk and took it back to my boat and hooked it up to the gas via the quick connect they gave me. Whenever I squeeze the prime bulb, gas squirts out into the engine compartment from right behind the motor part of the connector and runs thrugh a hole down the side of the motor. The motor runs great as long as I keep squeezing the bulb, but if I let go it runs out of gas.
I've tried four different kinds of Honda connectors, and two different ones of the same kind, and I get the same thing, so I think it's a problem on the motor end. :(!
I can't beleive something serious is wrong, since it worked fine when I bought it.
