Does anyone have an insight on rig tunning and such for the Capri 25? I've read the gude that is in the Manuals and Brochures of the site and am looking for more specifics such as exact shroud tension etc. Thanks

Well, due to work constraints I've been absent from this site for entirely too long for my health! Hopefully things will start settling down now and I can get back to surfing the sailing sites (esp now that sailing season is winding down...).
Back to the topic at hand: The "guide" from Catalina for this boat is over 25 years old. While there havent been as many "alterations" to this boat has there has to the J/22 and J/24, things ARE a lot different these days. It's a nice place to start, but take it all with a healthy dose of sodium.
Having said that, the REAL guide you want depends on one thing and one thing only: who is your sailmaker? THEY will be the best source on how to set the boat up for the way the sails are cut.
Now then, THAT being said - there arent a lot of sailmakers playing in the CP25 world these days. I used to run all North both on my old CP26 and then on my CP25, but they're out of touch with the CP25 world - bigger fish in the sea. I've heard that Haarstick still plays in this biz, and they have a decent tuning guide as well (Google "Haarstick Capri 25 Tuning Guide").
My understanding is that the big CP25 fleet (Wyzata YC in MN) is predominately EP (Elliot/Pattison). I'm currently in the process of converting my own inventory over to EP, and to date I can attest they flat out ROCK. After converting this year (except spin) we ran away with our PHRF-A fleet both Spring and Summer Series, and went from top 1/3 of the "combined" to top 3.
EP also has a good tuning guide (I'm not sure if there's a copy on this site, the WYC site does have a copy - see link below). Just remember, it's geared toward EP sails.
