I've found a pretty good deal on a 600' spool of 3/8" nylon line from Continental Western Co.. I've never heard of them, have you? Is the line any good?
Edit: I guess the deal's not as good as I thought, just found it at Go2Marine for roughly the same price, plus shipping.
I've been wanting to replace both my anchor rodes and this seemed like a good way to go.
Edit2: Turns out they have a local office & it's less than mile from my marina. I'll check them out.

A 600' spool from Continental is about $100 + shipping ($30 from Go2Marine to here). I can probably get a 1200' spool for less per foot, anyone in the Puget Sound area want to split a spool of 3/8" nylon?
Just be sure it is a tight lay. The easiest way to drop the price on line is to have fewer twists per foot; the result is a soft line with easily separated strands, less strength, and poor abrasion resistance.
