After sailing on a beautiful afternoon out of Long Beach with Frank Farmer and his friends, I drove over to the nearby Minney's Yacht Surplus store on 1500 Old Newport Boulevard in Costa Mesa, CA. I was impressed by the organized batches in display cases, bins, racks, and trays of hundreds of sailboat parts. I only had a short time, but I picked up 4 turning blocks, 2 fairleads, and 3 swivel cam cleats to make 2 good ones.
Here's what I found in 15 minutes, of those things I could immediately use.
The staff said they would take email requests for quotes on anything.
I would estimate that there may be 4-times as many parts in stock compared to Bacon & Associates in Annapolis. They also have "thousands" of sails, just like Bacon's. Since they get parts from salvaged boats, Minney's has essentially all the parts of a sailboat except for the fiberglass hull and topsides.
Millions of parts for you, just in time for the holidays! Have fun.
Online I saw a similar 2.25" cheek block from Harken listed at $37 and I found a similar Schaefer swivel cam cleat online for $102.

A similar place in Florida is Sailorman in Ft. Lauderdale. Those places can be quite interesting and they also have lots to look at on their websites.
