I'm presently refinishing a 1980s Capri 25 and need the inside bench boards that go under the cushions. If you have these to sell or the ability to use your present ones as a template and a woodworker that wants to make and sell some let me know. dmalerba@apple.com
I have an 81 but someone would have to verify if the benches are the same... Austin is a ways away so if you fail to find someone closer I might be able to get them done in a month or less (at cost) It would be hard for me to explain to the wife why I have time to do this for you when my honey do list reaches from here to their!!! Actually, I have commitments for the next two weekends along with a shower that needs to be re-tiled...
I'm in no hurry and wont even be working the inside for a while. I'd gladly pay over the cost and plenty for shipping if are the same size. My Capri is a 1985, I wonder if they're the same size? I'll see if can find out. Thanks for responding Lee and if are the same size, and something you can do, let me know cost with some labor and all for your troubles.
Most of the Capri 25s are early 80s, but I suspect the mid-80s are the same. However, Catalina being Catalina (the Capri 22 is a good example...), I would highly recommend doing the measurements. :)
David, when you get the time get your measurments and I will compare...
I glad to hear you in not such a hurry but if the measurements are alike what time frame would you be looking for? Before Christmas, late winter, first of spring???
email me and I will give you my number and we can have a chat by phone about all of this..

Lee, sounds great and I think we're fine on measurements as the title just arrived and the boat isn't even a 1985 as described but is a 1982 so I think should match yours fine. Anytime before next summer is good for me. Can you email me so I have your email and we can discuss via email, I couldn't find yours on this site but I'm new and may just not know where to look. dmalerba@apple.com
Run you mouse over the icons next to the date and time and the one with the envelope should provide you with the email link... You have to be logged on for this to work I believe.

I made mine out of 1/4" plywood, pre measure the opening lenth, the hatches overlap the lower wood on the sides 2" and have a wood trim cap to hold the cushions in place. I took a jig saw and cut the angle in the front of the hatch cover on the boat. The trim is 3/4" teak.
