Tray, Were you at Canyon Lake today?.......thats exactly what Canyon looked like today, I was the only boat out (single handing)with my main reefed like yours, and a little less jib out making 4 knots. Good winds, about 60 degrees, overcast with a light mist falling... a good day for sailing, Steve Steakley Moon Chaser #385WK
The admiral says my butt's not big. She says the wind was blowing my baggy shorts out. I think she's being kind. Shore duty has made me FAT!
Steve,
I don't know where canyon lake is. We were on the Cumberland Sound, between Florida and Georgia. It was a great day. Breezy with a light chop, and about 70.
Us people with boats on the hard don't appreciate it when y'awl in warmer climes show us pictures of a great day sailing. It drives us crazy. but that's not fair to lump all of us northern sailors together -- it drives me crazy.
I guess that's why I plan to sail on our "shore excursions" when we cruise the end of January. Great fun looking forward with expectation
Seriously glad y'ael had a good day! Spring is coming!
