I've not paid a whole lot of attention to this lately, tho I suspect I haven't missed much. Latest I knew about were:

For graphics and "fun": the Virtual Skipper series
www.virtualskipper-game.com/

For technical and racing: Posey
www.poseysail.com/

Oh that's funny. I actually used to be a big PC gamer, BF2 and 2142. Ever since I bought the boat I've basically abandoned gaming. The guys I played online against are upset about this and blame it on the sailing, as kind of a joke. So I sent them the link to the virtual skipper game and started the download. pretty funny.

Hey Peter, I was a big BF2 player as well! Sergeant Random Mayhem of the 18 Bravo squad. Maybe I killed you! More likely you killed me. I got knifed more times than I care to admit.

BF2 is a great game. I finally had to give it up because I was spending too much time online, getting new PC parts from Newegg every day, and eating massive amounts of junk food at LAN parties.

Sailing is better for you.

I gotta have something to do to get my fix in over the winter, tho I admit I dont spend that much time on either of these sims any more. VS looked sharp but lacked enough technical sailing and P just looked like something I'd play on a '486. I do still have P installed on my notebook and sometimes sail while flying.

This winter it's shaping up to be Tiger Woods Golf on the Wii!

I've never been a huge gamer but there is one game that's had me going since, ...... really 1999, the Papyrus NASCAR series. NASCAR 2003 Racing series is the game all the drivers have used to practice up (you have limited testing at tracks as a NASCAR driver). I still play it with 30 - 40 other guys and have a blast. It's very challenging.

I can imagine that the Virtual Skipper series could be outstanding too if it had a big online following.
