I am considering the purchase of a new rudder. I have an e-mail address for Robert Butler at Catalina that I have used before but apparently that e-mail no longer works. I have inquired via their "contact us" form on their web site but get no response. I would like to contact someone with a level of authority since I am going to ask if they will give me a reduced price on the 3rd generation balanced rudder - something I know they have done in the past. Does anyone have a good e-mail address that they have used to get to someone at Catalina for inquiries like this? Thanks.
We cannot direct the winds but we can adjust our sails.
I would call Catalina rather than e-mail. It is my impression that since moving all production to Florida they have been phasing down staff in California. I would call to find out who is doing what to whom -- and where!
Or simply write Frank Butler instead, my understanding is that he's pretty responsive. I've attempted to contact Catalina in FL several times via email with no response.
Randy, I have talked to, what I guess to be, the hands on designer of our boats twice. Each time I have reached him via phone. I call in, operator gives me his number and he calls back. I forget his name now but he is very helpful and informative. I actually called him about moving the winches from the cabin top to the coaming area. It's nice to be treated like an original owner.
