I am going to try to modify my pontoon boat trailer to fit my Catalina 25 swing keel. Does anyone know where I can find the contour of the C 25.
Pictures would help if you have a Catalina 25 S/K on the trailer or of the trailer itself.

Thanks

Boy I think I'd make sure that the trailer is structurally capable. Generally a Pontoon Boat is quite light and so a trailer wouldn't have to be to beefy to handle it. Was just checking and a 25 ft pontoon weighed in at 19 to 2100 lbs. A C-25 is a different story at more than 4,000 lbs.

I don't know if this will help but might give you a place to start. This is out of the Manuals and Brochures section.

I have a powerboat trailer which I had a shop modify for my swing keel C25 using the Catalina drawing from above. It is rated at 6000#, with double axle and surge brakes, do not use anything less.

It might be to light and would need major refit to work proper. You don't want you C25 laying on the side of the road. It might also be cheaper to find a strong boat trailer and have it modded to fit the C25 than totally rebuild your pontoon trailer.

Is this for storage only (and moving her around) or for taking her out on the road?

If you do this, part of the modifications needs to be a rest for the 1500 lb. keel so that after loading the boat, you can lower the keel slightly onto the rest. The boat must not rest on the keel, nor should the keel be hanging on its cable (cranked up) when the boat is being trailed.

I've done this a couple times and used scaffold levelers (jacks)to make my adjustable supports. They are designed to fit into 1 1/2" pipe, I then inserted the 1 1/2 pipe into 2" for maximum adjustment.
The scaffold levelers cost about $30 ea but they really make it easy.
But I would look for another trailer first it makes sense and cents.

This probably wont help, but this is a factory Trailrite C25 SK roller trailer.
