i got a foresty of my boat when i changed to a roller furling.
it is standard stay off a catalina 25 tall rig.
nothing wrong with it.
never in salt water.
catalina part number E38 00 05 100.
length is 31'-10". 1x19 x 3/16 wire.
roll swage stud on bottom and roll swage w/ 3/8" dia hole for pin.

hope it can help someone rather than lay in my garage.

they should sell for about $120

i'll sell and deliver by COD for $55.

I am looking to park my tall rig furler in storage and go with a hank-on foresail until the urge to race dissipates.

I can find the owner's manuals, but not the parts manuals on this site. I'd like to determine (definitively) if Dave's fore-stay will fit on my 1989 (hull 5822)tall rig.

Can someone direct me please? Anyone else make the same downgrade?

Thanks

here's a connection

go to the manuals and brochures heading on this site.

open it.

go to the catalina 25 parts manual,PDF file

page 21

here is where you will find size and length of what i'm selling.

Thanks for your replies.

Indeed, I am not sure if this forestay will fit as my 1989 has the latter style deck.

I will e-mail Kent at Catalina and ask.

I also have the same Forestay for Sale as Dave, if there are two people out there, Mine also is a tall Rig used in Fresh water and has NO bends or "HAIRS", we also changed when we got a roller furler. We will take the same price as Dave $55. COD shipped to the continental US. Also have Forward and aft lowers for sale, Just changed them out.. our Boat is listed as an 1987 but was not made until 1988 and meets the measurements in the manual. you can email us at: alan.clark@miami.k12.oh.us or aclark1325@woh.rr.com
