Hi:

Went to a boat show in Portland, Maine yesterday which was very uninteresting except for the inflatables by Coastal Inflatable Boats. Very impressive and great prices! Can't remember the owner's name but he works for the Post Office and was looking for something to retire into so he went to Korea and worked a deal to have inflatable boats made to his specifications. Some of the impressive features include:

"New generation PVC"
Outer layer contains additives designed to eliminate the "brown & sticky" issues
Marine grade plywood transom
Deep V hull
Rub guards to protect the tube bottoms
An extra layer of fabric on the bottom to protect against chafe
A rubbing strake on the bottom to help protect again abrasions when dragging the boat onto a sandy beach
2 stern carrying handles located on tubes outside boat but near transom
Inflatable or aluminum floor

The prices are incredible:
7'7" $699
8'6" 849
9'6" 949
10'10" 1049
12" 1189
12'7" 1359
15'5" 1659

Aluminum floor is extra

This will be my next inflatable.
