Still getting back into the swing of things as far as boat maintenance goes. Our new-to-us 89 C25 never had a bow eye. I just ordered the polyurethane backing-block from CD. I contacted West Systems about epoxy compatibility and they recommended the Six10 Thickened Epoxy.

When I explained that I planned to use 80 grit sand paper to scuff up the interior gelcoat - they recommended the Norton RapidStrip Wire Brush.

They went on to explain that because of the way it scrapes the gelcoat, I would actually achieve a 37% stronger bond than if I use sandpaper.

Now that's research!!!
