So...I'm not even a registered member - this forum is the only association I've ever joined, outside the Boy Scouts 40 years ago - BUT I do find this a pretty cool concept; Summer Sailstice is a global holiday celebrating sailing held annually on the Saturday closest to the summer solstice, the longest sailing days of the year. As such...should this interest anyone else, I provide the website for your investigation...http://www.summersailstice.com/...
Jerry I checked on activities in CT, and unless I can't navigate a GUI, I could not find anything going on that day. It's usually the Power Squadron District 1's Summer Rendezvous on that weekend. Do you expect that additional activities will be planned?
Bruce - don't know, I guess only if people are aware of the effort...I just learned about it myself, and thought it pretty cool...I suppose anyone can initiate a local observation through whatever group/organization is interested...
