In Atlanta we kinda get two "seasons" of wind. Mar/apr/may and Sept/oct/nov. Hot in the summer and no wind, and cold in the winter. So our first season is half over. I thought I'd share so some might share when I'm locked up inside with the air conditioning.
What a night.. great wind.. great sunset.
I anchored up for lunch at the upwind mark for a local regatta. Got to watch them make the mark and pop the spinns. Really fun. I don't think this boat was not in the regatta, but I've seen her out a lot.
One of my favorite anchorages ( as I've scuba'd the bottom for trees ) has a little island that makes me smile.

Here in Texas it's much the same but we will have wind up until June. As far as the winter goes it can be cold but you get days in the 60's and 70's as well. So here are some of my first half pics.
Winter night sailing Winter day sailing
My friend's Beneteau 323, trying to catch us....
Hot day with light wind, flying spin
You can see two of my eight winches here. :)
First race of the season in February, can you figure out which one is mine?
At the slip. Now you can see all 8. BTW, the Igloo Playmate cooler fits perfectly in the aft part of the cockpit and stays put through pretty much anything. Keeps your beverages close and cold! I would recommend this highly for all C 25 owners.
Sloppy main take down

That looks like fun! You guys have a great sailing season. Flat land and good wind. Great shots. It is cool to see other boats and how they get rigged up. Thanks for posting the images.

You bet, great topic. I'll have more as the season progresses....

I liked the picture "winter day sailing". Can you send me a total close up picture of your backstay adjuster system. I have the 2 round pully wheels in the backstay but they are not connected to anything. I would like to set up a pully or block system to adjust the backstay. I also like the cleat on the winch. Did you put that on there or did the winch come that way. Thanks E-mail to amsoil@embarqmail.com.
I don't know what that is.. other than yepper... it looks like a cat rigged schooner...
It always makes it so hard to come back in when you look back behind you and it looks like this.... I must of turned around about 5 times before I finally came in.
Two months from today and daylight begins to wane. I don't get it, you would think the days would begin getting shorter about August 20 just as boat season begins to wind down. Maybe we should start a petition.

Stinkpotter!! What a great shot, and handle! So good to hear you. I woke up last night wondering if a tab on the outboard foot would cause a drift to port at power. Doubt it but it was funny waking up to that.
That wide image I took is a Nikon D100 with a 50mm lens. 3 images combined.
Whoops .. sorry about that .. I meant the Nikon D80. I don't use that camera very much so I keep forgetting which model it is. The EXIF data are in the images that are not stitched, I had to go look it up.

Great pictures ... I can't wait to add mine. I took possession of my boat (1979) yesterday, and motored it to it's new place. After some work on the hull and mast this May, I hope to get it out to sail by June.

Not sure, I'll take a look tonight. Racing on my buddy's C-27.
Sinkpotter and redeye, that's funny. Actually all those pics from me on the foredeck down were taken by my friend Brad. He likes the "artistic' angles I guess. Here's a pic of his ride.
LOL, here's me out front of him...he was chasing us but he was single handing and his big old Benetau kept rounding up. It was windy that day and finally SWMBO required me to reduce sail and go head sail only.
Sailing up a cliff....
I LOVE this pic, one of the many nights my family sleeps out on the boat. This is what all those stripped down sport boats miss. This is one of the many reasons i LOVE my c-25.
Jackson is intrigued by the traveler and all my port side spin lines and stay sail halyard.

Thanks. I have decided that someday I want me one them! Not that I am in any way dissatisfied with my new (to me) C25, of course. Just thinking long term.
I've had bigger boats, and I've had smaller, and for the water I'm in I LOVE the Catalina 25. I miss the Gulf Coast, but I gotta tell ya.. Lake Lanier is not bad, not bad at all..
That bene looks like a sweet ride.. quit posting those images.. I'm scared of catching foots disease...
