Steve--he has a tall rig--if yours is standard, his bimini might be a little low for you. (Another example where year, rig and keel are useful to show in your profile "signature.")
I'm on Lake Ray Hubbard with a C25 Tall Rig and would be interested in your bimini. Is your boat also a tall rig? Let me know... <hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></font id="quote"></blockquote id="quote">
Bryan, I will bring it Wednesday if you will be out there. I am supposed to meet some guys on "R" Dock to fill in as crew for the Wed night races. As far as price, look at it and make me an offer. I would consider boat parts/hardware like extra winches, sails, clutches, blocks or winch handles for trade! ;)

Ha, Bryan, he's meeting us. I just moved from slip 5023 to slip 5018,"R" dock, right behind the office. So I think I might have moved right next to you. Regardless, I see your boat all the time. Darren and I will be racing on Joint Venture, the C-27 that's a couple boats away from you on the same side.
Darren, I didn't know you had a tall rig bimini. If you and Bryan can't work something out, let me know. SWMBO really wants us to have one.
Yes, that is the plan. Going to sail with PCP777 and company. I will probably be out there a little before 6. I want to get a good look at Peter's deck rigging. I have only heard stories... My boss owned that boat when it was "No Respect" he sold it in the early 90's to another buddy of mine that sailed it for a few years on Grapevine before selling it to the guy that sold it to Peter. At least I THINK it is the same boat due to the fancy custom cabin top traveler and 27 winch setup. The funny thing is that none of us knew each other which reduces the whole thing to a "small world" scenario. Can't wait to see the setup, it is sort of legendary among those who knew it.
We sailed last night and are going out again tonight. My wife loves the C25 and I love the tiller time! It will be light again but if the sunset is anything like it was last night... it will be worth it!
Small world indeed. Brrit and I communicated on this forum right when I bought Stephanos, and now I believe we are slip neighbors.
Brrit has dibs on the bimini, no arm wrestling for me this week (Long story) Only if you guys can't come to terms, anything else would be less than neighborly right?
Brrit, shall I check for an extra spot on Joint Venture?
BTW, I was thinking about doing a small raft up Friday night, that's when Keelan (owner of Joint Venture C-27 and my sailing buddy) and I usually do night sails. We flip back and forth between boats or take both. I missed Saturday's due to rough weather and some problems with my rig. So weather permitting we might put something informal together. We like to pull into a cove, have some cold ones, and hit Gloria's for brunch. What do your Friday nights look like?
The Wednesday Night Race series are great and we need some more B Fleet boats. Surely between the three of us we can find a boat or two to campaign?
Sorry to hear your marina troubles. Hopefully that is all coming to a close and you're happy with the end result.
Things are going well up here. The boat is doing well and we're not on it as much as we'd like. The weather has been so odd this year.
You doing ok down there? Ike recovery still progressing? <hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></font id="quote"></blockquote id="quote">
Doing fine. Ike recovery is pretty much over. I still see a few signs here and there.
See my post in the General Forum for an update on the marina situation. Basically went better than I expected and I'm happy for another year.
I'll probably be in Denton sometime this summer visiting my wife's family. Maybe you, Peter, DJ, and I can all get together for a sail or cool one and swap tales.
DJ - Alright, I'm going to pass on the bimini. I'm thinking I'd only use it about 20% of the time and then have to figure out what to do with it the rest of the time.
Gary - Glad to see the marina is doing the right thing. I'm little concerned about your "no drinking while underway" rule though. Doesn't that violate a Catalina Owner's Covenant or something? Just kidding. I bet your sailing in Galveston is totally different than my lake. When you are up this direction, let's try to get together.
Peter - What time are the Wednesday night races? Maybe I can add a boat to the fleet. I'd probably more chase-the-race than anything else. The raft up sounds fun as well, but my four little ones and their schedule would make that difficult. These days I'm lucky to just get the boat out of the slip.

Brrit, the races start at 7PM on Wednesdays. We would love to see more boats added to B Fleet. If we get enough people, we could race one or two of our C-25's. It would be awesome if we could get all three in the mix, do a little class racing! I'm training a coworker on foredeck as I do have a full spin rig. We get enough crew members we can get our boats out. I'll be out about 6PM to hang out, talk to D and help prep up Joint Venture.
As far as the raft up, nothing is set in stone but I do plan on bringing my 3 year old along.
Darren, since Britt is passing on the bimini I definitely want to throw my hat in the ring. That would really make my wife happy to have some shade. I'll see you tonight.

I solo most of the time anyway. Not much fun drinking by yourself!
Another factor is the wave action from 35'+ boats and the normal waves from the wind. I have a hard enough time staying on the boat when I go up on the foredeck to release the sail ties on the genoa.
Now that I think about it, maybe if I had a couple before going out it would help me get in "tune" with the waves and by steadier on my feet!
OK guys, i'm not at bayview but i'm only a mile and a half east at chandlers so keep me in mind when planning these get togethers. especially the ones involving beer and story telling. i just took the carb off my engine but i can use my nephews columbia 26 until i get my capri 25 going. and give me a shout if you're short handed. i'm comfortable following instructions but more useful in weather as rail meat. i probably out-weigh the keel on some boats.
I had my boat over at Chandler's and just moved over to Bayview last year or so. Great marina. I live in Dallas and moved over to Bayview just to shorten the drive a little bit, but I really liked Chandler's.

The Wednesday series are races between Bay View and Chandlers boats. Every now and then a RCYC boat comes in.
Darren and I had a great race yesterday and are talking about doing a small informal raft up this weekend. Join us if you'd like, we will be monitoring VHF channel 69. We're talking about Friday night.
Brritt, yes, I am you're new neighbor. Small world.
